How much does a private party cost per guest?

Private parties include the Full Afternoon Tea with Soup for every guest, which is currently $35.28 per person after tax and gratuity. Private room usage is included when you meet the room's guest minimum.

How do menu choices work for a private party?

Within a week of your event, we'll call to confirm your final headcount, any dietary restrictions, and three choices made for the whole party: Soup of the Month or Cream of Crab, a Seasonal Scone or Vanilla Scone, and two teas (we recommend one seasonal flavored black and one decaf or tisane for caffeine-sensitive guests). Choosing for the group keeps service smooth, and we'll always arrange substitutes for individual dietary needs.

Do you charge extra for gluten-free, dairy-free, or vegan options at a party?

Yes. Gluten-free, dairy-free, and vegan options are available for an additional $10 per guest to help cover the specialty ingredients and the extra preparation time required.

How are cancellations and final headcount handled for private parties?

You are charged based on the final headcount you provide, since we begin plating and preparing your food before you arrive. If plans change the morning of your event, call us and we can usually lower your number. For same-day cancellations, we will box up the extra teas, soup, and treats for you.

How do I reserve a private party, and do you take a deposit?

To hold your date, we send a Square contract and a credit card authorization form in lieu of taking a deposit. Your card is only charged if you cancel with less than 72 hours notice or in the case of a no call, no show.

Can I add a cake or party favors?

Yes! We can add a cake, cupcakes, or other baked goods as party favors. Just let us know at least one week before your event and we will set everything up in your room right before your party begins.
